Korean shamanic spiritual wedding

In Korean shamanic practice, shamans often presided over spiritual weddings between deceased, unmarried men and women. The following photos, taken by photographer and ethnographer Kim Soo-nam, depict scenes of the 1981 ghost wedding that took place in the port city of Pohang.
